Love it, but... kind of sick of it, too.

I can't argue with this assessment. I was absolutely obsessed with it at the age of 7 when it was number 1 for what seemed like forever. It still has the power to stop me in my tracks when I hear it.

Meh.

Had it been like an actual opera where the lyrics made sense I'd have said it was a good try for a rock band to prove our parents and music teachers wrong, that yes, we are capable of making popular music as challenging as classic operatic music. Instead they will hear, "Mama mia let me go," scratch their heads and say, "What the fuck is that weirdo singing about?"
Question authority.

Focus did the same thing earlier and better.

Focus did a completely different thing (apart from maybe the falsetto vocals) earlier and differently.

It is ridiculous and glorious. Not particularly to my tastes, but still undeniable.

It is ridiculous and glorius in terms of technical achievement but I could easily go to my grave without hearing it again. Outside of some tracks on the first two albums I have no interest in the band in general so not surprising that this glorious mess is not my cup of oolong.

Gone from a 10 when first heard it, to a 2, mainly because of over familiarity and a realisation that Queen were more cabaret than rock.

Its sheer ridiculousness is what makes it so glorious. I know I've said this before.

I went with "pretty good" just 'cause I don't have any real need to hear it any more than I already do.
