Jimmy Vaughn Trio Live at C-Boy's

An organ trio with the understated Jimmy Vaughn on guitar. Sorry Stevie but your big brother has always been my fave.

Kode9 & The Spaceape
Didn't really care for this when it came out, and it's been languishing unloved on my shelves ever since. But it sounds quite good now, really fresh and kind of austere dubsteppy stuff. Love Spaceape's vocals, he passed far too young.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

To continue my Texas theme I'm on a Terry Allen bender today. Listening to a board tape from The Palms from 2002 that I attended and a friend recorded thankfully. Will move on to Lubbock On Everything and who knows after that. Listened to Juarez last night. Great stuff.

I think he’s got something new coming out. He’s playing a show in Austin in mid-January but I can’t go.
