pistachio would be the nut of choice but Almond, Cashew, Hazel, Brazilian, macadamia, Walnuts, Peanuts all good. Can eat too many of them as I have a lite allergy to nuts.
I vote for pistachio. I miss the days when pistachio ice cream was the staple dessert of NYC Chinese restaurants. Really good pistachio ice cream is difficult to find.
