Re: Prog Synch Listen: Blodwyn Pig, Friday 8th Nov @ 9pm (UK)
This is one of those albums where umpteen versions exist!
Originally there was a UK and USA version - eg See My Way, in the UK, was not on Ahead but appeared on Getting to and in America it was on Ahead. There were different running orders to.
Then a remaster came out in 2006 and combined all the tracks, but again, in a different order!
Spotify uses the latter so the Illuminati have decided to play that version.
All happy with that...?

Good afternoon/evening! I raise my glass to wish you good health and happiness, also as a toast to absent friends.
Let's start with a bit of a boogie!
Toes tappin' already...

Mick Abrahams was/is a marvellous guitarist
You can see why he had to leave Tull though...

Mick Abrahams recalls:
‘Dear Jill’ (a favourite of mine to this day) was the next track we laid down and the nice thing about it was that by double-tracking the guitar, which was an Eko 12-string with only 9-10 strings on it (depending on my mood or how many strings I could afford on the day) it sounded akin to a modern chorus effect pedal which, coupled with Jack’s haunting soprano sax, made it into a solid stand up song. It was featured in Cameron Crowe’s movie Almost Famous as part of the background music to reflect the theme and time of the film.

Although many of the riffs & song frameworks maybe considered rather generic, the Pig do pack a mighty punch, indeed they still have a freshness to them.
Love the slide in Dear Jill.
Kind of need to blank out the lyrics, let the sound wash over.

Golly - I have an Eko 6 string!
You're a heck of a quicker typer/word processor than I am!

Cut and paste from Wiki!
"Sing Me a Song That I Know” - this is the track that gave way to "See My Way" on the USA version

Indeed
It's easy for some to overlook the work of Lancaster in The Pig
