What do you say when people ask you how you're doing?

in reality, all of this has been a total load of old bollocks

When people ask me how I'm doing, or "what's up?"...

I just give them a generic response like "fine" or "nothing, how about you?"

I honestly don’t think my current GP has ever asked me ‘how are you doing?’. Just as well really :D

Nowadays, instead of Japanese students' robotic, "I'm fine, thank you. And you?' they answer "How are you?" with "I'm good." It's the new cool and ungrammatical way to say how they feel.

Ugh come on I lived in the east Bronx for 20+ years.
I always threw it back at them in a better Bronx accent.
How you Doin? although if its a local I know it can lead to a long conversation.
