Earlier it was Buddy Miller & Jim Luaderdale's release from a few years ago. That made me go straight to my Jim Lauderdale collection. NP Jim's Planet Of Love. Imho he's one of the best songwriters/vocalists out there in the country genre. Eight of the ten songs on this ended up being recorded by other artists so it's no secret with the musicians. This was his first release and he's made at least 31 more since then!

Me too. The last track is great.

Actually, I’ve moved on to Boys and Girls and now ROXY Manifesto.

So how was Ferry?

NP Jim Lauderdale - Headed For The Hills

I went through a big Lauderdale kick six or seven years ago but it's happening again and he's released five or six albums since my last purchase around that time. Playing acoustic guitar with friends again has been the drive behind it.

NP Jim Lauderdale - Country Super Hits Vol.1

A tongue in cheek title as he's never had any real hits except when the big stars record his songs.

MATERIAL ISSUE International Pop Overthrow

I haven’t listened to this in a VERY long time. I like it more than I expected and it sounds a lot more like Cheap Trick than I remembered (but heard this before I really heard a lot of Cheap Trick so there’s that)

Various - La Contra Ola (Synth Wave and Post Punk from Spain 1980-86)

Double-vinyl belated birthday present to myself. Album openers Esplendor Geometrico are the only band familiar to me, so I'm hoping the rest could be of similar quality.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I’m going through the early BOBBY WOMACK solo records, which are as erratic as I remembered.

Sad but true. The only one I own has Gabor Szabo on guitar.
