What's stuck in your head right this moment?

Postby GoogaMooga » 05 Jul 2019, 18:03

You probably know the feeling, a song gets stuck in your head, a so-called earworm, and it follows you all day, or for days, even. I thought this could be an ongoing thread, where we post a youtube video of a song or a number that is stuck in our head. Sort of an alternative "Now Playing", i.e. "Now Stuck".

I'll start:

Two songs have been playing in my head today, "Elisabeth Serenade" by Raquel Rastenni, and "Mr. Chatterbox" by Bob Marley & the Wailers:

"When the desert comes, people will be sad; just as Cannery Row was sad when all the pilchards were caught and canned and eaten." - John Steinbeck

Pretty much coz it was the last song I played before driving home but although it’s not a favourite it has a very catchy chorus and keeps rolling around in my bonce.

Father's Name Was Dad

an oldie but a goodie
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Watching Wimbledon and they played a bit of 'Girls on Film'. That will be in my head for the rest of the night now, just the chorus on a constant loop.

Reading all the memes about Trumps' continuous gaffe-a-thon on 4/7 put the Neville Brothers version of With God On Our Side firmly in my mind....

Interesting choice, Robert, don't think I've ever heard it before.

I called Zilth Pilchards today, and we talked about Joni Mitchell and her frail, feather-lite style of singing. He sang a bit of "Both Sides, Now", and sure enough, it has insinuated its way into my brain:
