Has everybody finally woken up??!!

Two more Carlsson Corkers!!

Billy and his delightful tubs and one of brother Reap's faves on guitar - Tommy Bolin, with Jan Hammer providing the plinky-plonk bits.

I adore Sinclair's vocals. We all know the members of the Hatfields but I will give a special mention to Jimmy Hastings (a part-time ex-Caravaner) on delicious flute.

My vote is going against Billy because there are better tracks on Spectrum.

It's got to be:

I like A but feel like it's a repeat many times over. And while H&tN tend to overdo the jammy bits - they even do it here a bit, though it's confined to the last few minutes - most anything with both Richard Sinclair and Robert Wyatt on vocals will get my vote, even if they're underutilized. B.

There seems to be a track from that Billy Cobham album in every competition we have. It's always decent enough immaculately played fusion but lacks a certain X-factor for me to set it apart. Enjoyed this track though having said that.

I always enjoy HatN when I hear individual tracks but tend to get bored when I play whole albums, probably because they do get a bit samey very quickly over the long haul. As usual in small doses they work pretty well and hit the right spot here.

a close match but I'll go for A

For goodness sake - another two super tracks, though to these ears the Hatfields are the real McCoy's here.

Ah, yes, too busy to get my Hatfields & McCoys reference in to bother about voting.

Oof, a match of classics. A takes this one, a slice of some of the finest jazz-rock/jazz-funk around, but B's also one of the North's strongest even if I do slightly prefer the Let's Eat (Real Soon) B-side version to this one.

A, good as it is, sounds very pedestrian compared to light-as-air Hatfield...

A - love Spectrum and great lineup but I actually think this is a bit off as a collective unit.

B- sweet Hatfield tune. nice singing and mix of music works better than B
