Deadwood Movie

Postby Still Baron » 23 May 2019, 16:13

I obviously live under a rock because I didn’t know that a Deadwood movie is coming out on HBO at the end of the month.

Fuck yeah! Guess I need to sign up for HBO for a month. :x

Dilemma

I don't want HBO (even for a month), but I certainly want to watch this movie.

So how was it? The series was possibly my favorite of all time.

We’re re-watching Season 3 first.
Which has been delightful. So many great characters I had forgotten about.

We watched it last night and I enjoyed it very much. There's something weirdly melancholic about seeing all of the characters with 10 years of age on them. Kind of like the Boyhood movie.

I agree with just about everything in this bit from the NYT (which contains very minor spoilers in the form of a preview of the plot and some of the characters).
