Nice.

The Traffic album is very overlooked.

I saw them live on that tour they were extremely robust!

I played this yesterday for what I think was the first time - it’s good, isn’t it? :D

Swedish duo’s 3rd album released in 2005.

Not Premier League but a consistent quality band - it’s a shame I’m probably the only poster ever likely to listen to them.

Played this earlier but nearly nodded off. His band Nosound have a very solid bunch of guitar based albums but in the last couple of years Giancarlo has been diverging somewhat and this 1st solo release is instrumental and somewhat ambient with a sad lack of his searing guitar.

Fair play on branching out but this is pretty much background music only for me.

Native tongue Norwegian band with oodles of organ, ‘tron and synths.

Not bad at all, released 2017.

I saved his album on Spotify having read about it in Prog. Just played it, forgetting who he is, looked him up, remembered you’d played it and weren’t too impressed. I quite like it. It’s the sort of thing I’d read a book to, so I can see why you might be disappointed. It’s certainly not in the mainstream of progressive rock.

It has grown in stature with the passage of tine. My old vinyl LP copy still sounds magnificent.

Artificial Silence - Negative Space

US prog metal band’s recent debut release. The term prog metal generally puts me off (there’s just SO much of it and I find it extremely hard to separate one band from another) but a review / comment on this one captured my attention.

I’m glad I did bother as it’s actually pretty light on the metal and all in all a splendid debut.

Broad church for sure but I certainly detect some jazz and prog elements within....

Bruce Hornsby - Absolute Zero

New release from a guy who had fallen completely off my radar for the last 25 years or so.

It seems he’s been quite prolific. Saw a strong review for this so thought I’d give it a go. Very different from the Way It Is and Mandolin Rain days but not bad at all.
