Best cover of Tomorrow Never Knows?
I always enjoyed the Chameleons' romp through this Beatle-classic. What is the best cover of this song in your view?

It is good! That drum-loop really lifts the thing into high heaven.

Bruce Springsteen - though I think he changed the lyrics and wrote a different tune.

Yeah, it’s much better as ‘She’s the One.”

801 is pretty good. It's interesting to hear Brian Eno singing that song.

That used to be my favorite but I think I've heard it so much it has lost its impact. Monsoon's version is leaner but still packs a punch.

Re: Best cover of Tomorrow Never Knows?
Phil Collins is my favourite, though the Monsoon runs it pretty close. They are pretty similar really, I guess. Monsoon's was a year or so after PC's and they had obviously taken a leaf out of Phil's book. What I didn't realise until looking up the date of it, was that "it's probably most notable for also featuring Bill Nelson, David Balfe out of Teardrop Explodes on keyboards, and Merrick out of Adam and the Ants."
I like that Phil treats it as a huge slab of psychedelic sound with an unstoppable forward motion. The layers of synths kind of give it a sound - fifteen years on, with much more technology - that approaches Lennon's original vision of a hoard of Tibetan monks chanting on a mountain top
There is also a great version by Ann Dyer.
I am no great fan of the 801. Or the Chameleons, which is just horribly 80s sounding and has the worst vocal ever.
The Los Lobos would be fun if you were at the show
Junior Parker's completely misses the point. He treats it as a song,
And as a song it's almost insignificant.
It's a nice enough groove but wasted on his choice of material.

For some reason I forgot about Ann Dyer's version. That album is my favorite Beatles covers album. Her version of Rain is sublime.

Yes! That's the one I couldn't think of. Good shot, fange.
This crazy acid rock version turned up on one of nolamike's "Beatle Albums Covered" lists:
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
