No, not the band. Two songs. Both great and moving and both magnificently channeling the 60s spirit of utopian idealism in the Me Decade but which do you prefer?

Todd's Utopia

Re: Todd's Utopia
"Victory" by a considerable distance. I'm fond of "1984" but it strikes me as a self-conscious attempt to "do another 'Just One Victory'" and while overdubbing a second audience on top of the first one is a really really neat idea I'm not convinced that it worked.

I find '1984' much more rousing. It's the stronger song, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Todd's Utopia
I think the massed choral element works better in Victory than it does in Sons where it is a bit more overpowering- Sons also has the disadvantage of losing pace midway through the track and not recapturing it convincingly.
Victory for Victory.
Victory for Victory.

"Just One Victory" makes me feel giddy. The part when the "hold that line baby hold that line" background vocal comes in is particularly thrilling. One of my favorite songs.

Victory for me, 1984 is one of the few Todd tracks I don't really care for.
