Re: Ray's Photos
Part One continues with the slide scans, and this time it's a bright winter's day in Weston-Super Mare, probably 1987-88.
Part Two is staying indoors earlier this month.
Rickford
A village on the Magic Road, the A road from Bath to Weston that hugs the line of the Mendip Hills
Across the Estuary
Weston's unused northern Birnbeck Pier, with South Wales in the background
Dining Room with a View
A view of mainly mud at low tide, admittedly, but still very expansive.
You could get a great all-day breakfast here in the Eighties.
The following shot through the window takes in some of the town...
That's me reflected inthe window there, wearing a diaper-pattern sweater of which I was passing fond
Sunset and Steep Holm...
...With Added Pier

Re: Ray's Photos
Started this last night, but was undone by combination of photobucket outage and a crashing desktop. So, with a few add-ons, here's yesterday's batch.
A little later than planned, but as promised, part one today is London's Little Venice, from an hour I had to kill before catching my train back to the south-west in the middle of last month, while part two, from the print scans, begins in the Trip Room, Oldland Common in the early Noughties and spirals off from there

Part Two
Sometime in the late 1990s, early 2000s
Pylon
Shelter
That's deffo the Severn Estuary/Bristol Channel in the background, but these could have been taken virtually anywhere. Portishead, maybe?
Spillage
Part of a huge mural at the Mad Hatter's Tea Rooms in a small town/big village on the edge of the Forest of Dean; its name escapes me at the moment.
And the last four in this folder are all from that self-same Forest, some time in late Summer, early autumn

Re: Ray's Photos
Part One is from the print archives, and as usual is all over the shop chronologically, but takes in an interesting (well, to me) variety of beings. Part Two is Wet in Devon in the middle of last month

Soaked
This I can date, to October 1997: as a 50th birthday sort of treat, Clive went back to his childhood haunts in Tottenham, and I accompanied him. He took this picture of me outside my old primary school, Downhills

Katzy, early 2000s, Oldland Common
Pah! Call that White
Paul C's cat Andy (or was it Candy), High Barnet, around 2000
Old School
Paul T and Sally, who went to school together – it was through Sally I met Paul - in Godney, Somerset, late 1990s
Winsome
Katzy, a very fine chap all round

Scrap has to wait outside while we're house-hunting. We didn't get this one, but put in an offer on another we saw that day that has been accepted. Fingers crossed

More tomorrow, I hope, but then a break: I turn 70 in the next week, and going away style celebrations are planned, so normal service will be suspended
