Re: Ray's Photos
In part one today, from the first week or so of last month, features garden pretties and a slightly portly dog you may have seen before
The Glade Seat
Actually not very gladey since the shading willow was taken down earlier this year, but these guys have lived
there for eight years now, and seem to be enjoying a bit of sun
Apple Blossom

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
Today's dip into the print scans archives is in, out, but definitely not shaking it about
On the Beach
Probably Sidmouth, Devon, in the ’00s: in fact all of this vintage probably
Burrow Mump
Somerset
Street Music
On the Waterfront
Both The Trip Room, Oldland Common
Absence
Windmill Hill Park, Bristol
Moored
Floating Harbour, Bristol
Winterlight
Oldland Common – the view from the front door
Decks
Detail
Bristol
Tomorrow is a (mostly) wet one.

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
21st century print scans
Star of the show today is a copper sculpture water fountain I bought in July 2007, pictured soon after buying, before everything
oxidised. It hasn't been set up since 2010, and will be on its way to the scrapyard soon – there really is a lot of copper in there.
No individual captions
God's Fingerprints
Uncertain
Never a fan of water, Kez was especially suspicious of the in-out form
Hit ’n’ Spin
Harbour Pile-Up
Which harbour, not sure
More tomorrow, I hope.

Re: Ray's Photos
Today in Part one, some scanned prints from the 1970s. I didn't start taking transparencies until the last years of the decade, so all of my pics from my stude and later days in Kent and early working life in London are in this format. Part two, by contrast, features the usual suspects from mid-May this year
Five Dealers and a Maths Teacher
A couple of fellow teachers at Ashford Police Academy and some Faces from the Canterbury scene celebrate end of term in July 1972 at the Olive Branch by the cathedral gate; featuring Jim, Graham E, JDO'D, Sgt-Major Dave, Roger the Gimp and Mad Michael Moore
Tripping Billy
On Harbledown Hill, with the cathedral in the middle distance, 1971-72
Cleft for Me
Billy again, at Langstone Rock in Dawlish (I think - his parents lived in the town). I was always impressed in this pic by the echo of the gap in the cliffs provided by his skinny legs
Superstar
Jacques (pronounce Jakes) early 1972, somewhere in the Downs
Relaxed
Bill again, the same day as the picture of Jacques above
Team Faversham
Calli, Dave P, Pete Brennan (a ringer), Bill, Jacques and Mike holding his ball: all but Mr B, a Brummy poet, sometime residents of the house at 23 Abbey St. 1972, Faversham Rec
There's a fair few of this vintage coming up: please contain yr excitement

Re: Ray's Photos
Part Two
Bad Boys
Bill and Pete Harris (no, not that one), University of Kent, 1972. And that's a toy gun, in case anyone's asking
He Flicks to Kick
Subbuteo was quite the thing with our group for a while. Mike was the best of us. Cricklewood, 1977
Adi Gets the Finger
Not sure who from. Also Cricklewood, 1977
The Boss
Kate was my line manager for a while when I worked in the ad agency. This from 1977.
Johnny
Frankie's little brother on a visit to Brighton in 1976 or 7, examining Bill's prismatic bookends, source of many a weird photo.
Didn't notice until editing these that a copy of the inner of Hejira is lurking in the background
Morning Coffee
My school pal Clive, his daughter Holly, second partner Sarah, and Chuck the beagle pile on to the bed in his flat in Marine Parade, Aberystwyth. Probably also 1977, maybe ’76
More feckless types tomorrow

Re: Ray's Photos
First up, it's the feckless bozos as promised from prints taken in the 1970s, then back to Devon for more of May this year...
Brunswick Square
This Regency oblong was a favoured place for Frisbee in Bill's first sojourn in Brighton in the mid-70s. The pallid creature in the rolled-up jeans next to him is, I believe, Fisherman Bob, Mike's kid brother
On the Gower
A trip out to Rhossili beach on the Gower with Phil the Prof (then Phil the humble lecturer) and his first wife, Jenny
Adi and Ted
Apologies for the quality here, but the print had degraded badly. From 1974 to 1977 I lived in a grand floor flat in Putney Bridge Road, south-west London, with a succession of flatmates, the last of them being Adrian. Ted McEnuff lived upstairs on his own, a guy who had been born in the 19th century and grew up in the countryside before World War I. He had plenty of tales to tell, and was as clear as a bell.
More Tea, Vicar
Mike and Adrian in the back yard at Putney Bridge Road, 1976-7
Startled Fawn
Billy in one of his smokey-holes
Leaving Day
Moving out of PBR
Cavalier and Roundhead
Clive and Holly in Aberystwyth, about 1976
