That might be why people miss them. You can disagree about music without much turmoil. Disagree about politics (or more accurately, don’t agree exactly) and you’ll be judged, piled-on and every opinion you give after that will be seen through that lens.

After a while people know your prejudices as well as you. I’ve mostly stopped voicing mine. The folks that are left seem to get so hurt when you shit on their heroes.
