Nancy Elizabeth (I really liked this, would like to hear more)

Josephine Foster (the only one I really didn't care for)

I have the Nancy Elizabeth and Marissa Nadler-albums, they are very good.
Think I might go for NE in the poll even though Meg Baird sounds very nice this morning.

I didn’t realise Meg Baird was the singer in Espers, I thought she sounded familiar. I have Espers III and it’s very good

Thanks for this, DF, it really brightened this rainy Sunday morning for me.

I'm a sucker for female voices - and I really like all five.

Nancy Elizabeth's multilayered approach stands out though, I'll have to check out her album.
Marissa Nadler got my other vote, but that's more a spur of the moment thing, it was also the only song I knew.
Meg Baird solo is nice too, if not quite as great as Espers in their best moments.
Josephine Arnald is deceptively simple, the song has some amazing instrumental flourishes - I think I'll get back to her too.
Olöf Arnalds, finally, won me over with her wonderfully pure timbre.

She's got the least pretty voice of the five, I suppose, and it's all sort of strummy - but I like it.
