Trade fairs is/are a very soft target. They're always going to be fantastically boring if you don't have a dog in the fight.
I expect John would piss himself with excitement at LanguageTeachingEx'14 though.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Politics might not be incredibly exciting but at least it's important.

Unlike Top Gear or Stevenage.

Then again, Stevenage isn't Milton Keynes.

Can you imagine an episode of Top Gear filmed in Milton Keynes?

After a comment like that, I vote we put you on that list.

Definitely one of the most boring things ever, along with Poco and bulk chocolates from 1993.

At one point you couldn't open a magazine in the UK without one of those discs falling out. And they were constantly being pushed through my door with the post. It felt like AOL was entreating me to join a cult and it was never going to let me forget about their existence.

I read a stat that at one point AOL was responsible for producing something like 25% of all CDs being manufactured in the world.

Ha! That's amazing. They really were dreadful things.

A stat I read was that at one point, 50% of all manufactured CDs carried the AoL logo. That will have included both discs produced by AoL themselves, and other CDs containing some AoL content, such as magazine cover discs.
