Probably the best thing she's ever recorded. I knw there's not much variation of sound throughout her catalogue, but it is all rather lovely.

I'm sure I had a CDR of that, the title rings a bell. Can't for the life of me remember what it was like.

I listened to about half of Bird on the Water this morning. I think she's wonderful but personally hard for me to listen to. I discovered her right before a major breakup and then a few years later lost a close friend to leukemia who shares the same name to one of Marissa Nadler's songs, one about that person's death.

It's basically weird Russian chamber folk via avant-garde modern classical. There's plenty of discordant strings and raspy vocals absolutely belting out ritualistic mantras in a language I don't understand and the occasional traditional choral bit.
If you want it again I can provide a decent copy via dropbox.

Nah, that clip doesn't convince me that it's veering much near my kinda thang. If I find it, I might try and sit through it again, and see if it appeals more.

New album by veteran dutch punks. Their last non-collaborative album, Catch My Shoe, was one of the finest of the decade, so I have high hopes for this.

Well here you go anyway since I was uploading for algroth. It's 320kbps mp3 but if you want higher quality I can do so.

I'm playing Jerry Lee Lewis Live At The Star-Club at work. I hadn't heard it in a while. I just told my boss "I really have to pee, but every time a new song starts I think okay, after THIS song..." He laughed.

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
