Re: PROG CORNER
Kayak’s debut album from 1973 I believe. Very good, right up my street, early symphonic / neo prog (I think).

Yep, always enjoyed this one.
NP: Baker St. Muse. Possibly Tull’s finest.

Re: PROG CORNER
Not prog but a new to me / very pleasant listen.
American indie with massive arrangements that lift it beyond my expectations for that genre.
Manchester Orchestra - A Black Mile to The Surface
This paired-down acoustic version of one of the album’s biggest moments, the hugely massive The Grocery, gives no indication whatsoever of what they sound like on record, but nevertheless, is just brilliant.

The title track, is just immense, and as C would say, full of music. I can’t tell you how much I adore this.
Likewise, It Just Might Be A One Shot Deal, which has a heavenly slide guitar solo from Tony Duran (I think.).
A. Must play album with The Grand Wazoo.

Yes, Waka/Jawaka itself was immense, as was Big Swifty. One Shot was excellent, I didn't particularly warm to Your Mouth. A very good album.

Re: PROG CORNER
Just looked it up on progarchives - some glowing reviews lead me to believe that this is another exceptional CD. Shall give it a listen asap, which unfortunately is unlikely to be until Wednesday. Thanks for the heads up!

What a truly moving song this is:
Except, I disagree with the premise: rock and roll has saved my soul.
Along with my beautiful family, it has been my life.

Great cover , a bit porcupine tree in places, lacks that killer touch.
If I jerk- the handle jerk- the handle you'll thrill me and thrill me
