I can't decide whether to go for favorites that are unlikely to have any other fans here or a canon of inarguable greatness...

The reason why some shows you love might not have fans here is that posters might not know about them. You could always create
an alias and post both lists - guaranteed you won't be the only person here to do so

A few clarifications:

"Anthology" series or series with changing casts/stories/settings will be counted as single shows. So True Detective, Dr Who and Blackadder are single shows, you can't vote separately for different series (I think we're assuming that most people voting for True Detective are doing so on the basis of the first series, of course!).

Remakes or reboots will be counted separately. So if voting for Battlestar Galactica, for example, specify which version.

And different series under the same umbrella are separate shows. So vote for three or four different Star Treks if you want.

I haven’t turned off the TV since 1987. Does that count as one vote?

I have a question I'd like answered. What about the same series under different umbrellas?
I'm thinking here of the 1987 Ryder Cup when it rained. As I recall Seve Ballesteros played under a blue and green stripped umbrella whereas Ian "woozy" Woosnam played under a checked umbrella. I do believe the rain eased off in the afternoon so Nick Faldo controversially decided on no umbrella at all!
Can I still vote for it?

Hi everybody!

I've now put a deadline in the thread title. Lists need to come to me by Sunday 18th March. I've already had about 25 in but hoping for plenty more...

Wanna reveal who've sent their lists so far, Penk? Just to confirm everyone's lists made it.

I don’t want to feel cheated when ‘The Fall Guy’ is nowhere to be seen.

Don't see any problems with that.

There is a pretty clear top 20-30 shows at the moment with plenty of consensus, then there are another 40-50 with three or four votes each. If I get another 5-10 lists in over the next day I think that will mean enough for a good representative list. As you see I have posted a few reminders to people who had said they'd send a list, and there are others I hope will submit one too. I might send out a few PMs this evening if I think I still want a few more lists. It looks like I'll be off work tomorrow as my son has fever so I can add the final lists and start posting results while he lies on the sofa watching Dino Trux (which has no votes so far in our poll).

I was locked out all day for some reason. If you're still open, I'll get it in in a couple hours!
