Not really sure based on the examples above what you mean by Baroque Folk. Is this baroque folk music or is this stuff with specific references to Baroque music. I'm asking because I don't hear those influences if you mean the second interpretation in specific. That's fine, but I was assuming the obligatory harpsichord in the backing track, and that's probably not what you mean.

Stuff that's less tied to one instrument is, let's say, "Fotheringay". Sounds like a Purcell influence to me. Well, maybe not. Maybe you could trace something back to Purcell with "I'll Be Back". Not sure.

Indeed! I’m yet to explore his later records, but I’d take that album over just about anything from Nick Drake. It’s fantastic.
