BUCK OWENS al day at work.
He’s not my favorite, but I can’t think of another country artist so devoted to the pedal steel guitar and a near-perfect SOUND. You can’t go wrong with a Buck Owens record through, I don’t know, 1966?

A DVD of The Cure's Greatest Hits. They soundtracked so much of my life and its many moods, and this proves they are one of the UK's great singles groups.

Gosdin brothers? I thought it was Godsin. I'm developing dyslexia late in life.

I've always loved this but I now believe it's probably RDJ's best album. It has it all: gorgeous moody ambient from his early career; glitchy 200bpm IDM of the late 90s and early 00s; squelchy acid of AFX and Polygon; some downtempo trip-hop stuff. It's all here and sometimes all in the same song or even at the same time.

Abstract techno, arty bobbins indeed.

Children of Alice - Children of Alice
What once was Broadcast & The Focus group thingy that got some good reviews, and was in HMV today.

I've been after that one for a while along with all the other Folklore Tapes stuff. Any good?

Good idea. I came here to post some Richard Buckner records I’m playing this morning but I might do that instead.

Not bad, from a first listen. It's unsurprisingly quite similar to Broadcast & The Focus Group's odder moments. I guess it depends on how much you like this weird soundscape/musique concrete type of approach to music. It reminds me of the fairly recent Nurse With Wound/Graham Bowers albums.

Still regretting not going to see her perform a few years ago.
