I don't know what to make of this show at all in the sense of to watch it or not.

I've been watching Inside No. 9 and altho' there are good things there, there's a sort of amateurishness and a cheapness to the whole thing. Many characters are little more than caricatures, the scripts are shoddy, the basic ideas are sometimes preposterous. And to add to all this you get the same two fellas playing different parts week after week - all they're doing, really, is changing one bad wig for another.

I remember watching the first series and enjoying it a lot more. Maybe they had bigger budgets. Definitely better ideas.

Your boyfriends on our sister board will not be happy about that.

It’s a cesspit these days, their political/sexual assault threads have polluted the whole board. I like the book forum though, serge seems like a good guy.

There are a handful of really solid dudes on the music board too, but I got so much really nasty shit a couple of months ago that I decided to leave for good. Fuck ‘em.

They might have taken offence at being referred to as "solid dudes".

River (BBC/Netflix 2015)

Just finished watching this - quality TV with stellar acting, especially by Stellan Skaarsgard and Lesley Manville. A second season would be nice.

I find some of the acting to be hammy mugging on a par with Mrs Brown's Boys, but then some of the actors are pretty young.

The Father in / Law Son in Law relationship is excellent
