Re: PROG CORNER
Very good (4th) album from (still) youngish Italian band, plus Peter Jones (Tiger Moth Tails) on some vocals.

Has a nice, fluid sound. Very enjoyable for a breezy summer evening.

These two arrived in the last couple of days have to say that I'm enjoying them - wasn't quite sure what to expect, so happily surprised.

Strawbs have a new album out, The Ferryman's Curse.
HOLY. COW!
This is their best album since Ghosts and at least in their top 5 ever. Just spectacular. If you like this band, please give it a listen.

Re: PROG CORNER
I will certainly look out for it.
Although it’s not really my scene I’m currently playing a bit of stoner math rock by a band with a rather marvellous name.... just for the hell of it really, but it’s a way of constantly discovering new music which (for me, and pretty much me alone on here I suspect - no disrespect) is part of the appeal.

Re: PROG CORNER
Not sure I’ve seen this album posted up on here before, but although it’s not massively prog I rather like it. I suspect fans of Witchwood, Grave New World etc. (or indeed the same year’s Ghosts) may have been disappointed at the time but it’s a perfectly worthy release.

Greta Van Fleet - From The Fires, 2017 Double EP.
Led Zep rip off to the extent they might as well be a tribute band but actually it’s pretty damn good.

Re: PROG CORNER
I don’t suppose anyone else still posting gives 2 shits about one of the best current prog bands but I’m looking forward to seeing IQ at the Islington Assembly Hall on Saturday.

Re: PROG CORNER
IQ are terrific. Saw them in '88 or '89 at a prog-fest in the Netherlands. Great band!
Enjoy!
Should be listening to more prog as the next Cruise To For Edge is only 6 weeks away but I just downloaded the full complement of Bowie courtesy of Slider and have been bingeing all day. Now playing the remixed Lodger...

Re: PROG CORNER
First time I’ve seen IQ. Decent concert. I enjoyed Peter Nicholls frontman self-deprecating humour. They definitely don’t take themselves too seriously.
Couple of the usual uberwankers sat close by taking photos and video on iPhones. One geezer must have got his phone out at least 5 times during every song. He also raised his hands and pointed to the Sky whenever they sang the title of a song. Cunt.
