I have the Sunshine Tomorrow set and love it.

But the new studio set really does seem like overkill - collecting every mix variation that could be found, a parlor trick which Beach Boys fans seem to be very susceptible to. There are a couple of titles I'm not familiar with listed as "outtakes", but why wouldn't they have been part of Sunshine Tomorrow if they're any good? Live recordings from 67 are fun but the stuff on ST is pretty representative of what they were like at the time.

But considering how many people buy bootlegs of similar material, no reason it shouldn't be made officially available for purchase. The live set is $52 for 109 tracks. I'll probably pass.

I'd pay that price for a similar set of live Who recordings from 1967 though. Have you got any?

The studio set is 12.99 on iTunes so I’m in for that. This period of BBs, especially the fragments, is soul food.

Rolling Stone weighs in, complete with full track listings. I'd better get the "live" set before they sell out of downloads!

All three of the releases document the group's pivotal post-Pet Sounds period – including sessions for Smiley Smile and Wild Honey, the two 1967 albums they recorded after shelving the famously ambitious SMiLE LP. 1967 – Sunshine Tomorrow 2: The Studio Sessions includes 29 studio session recordings, and Live Sunshine – 1967 features 109 live recordings, most of which are previously unreleased.
Things that a fella can't forget...

Thanks so much! -

is there any way in which I (not a member of any iTunes or likewise connection) can get hold of this? I sincerely mean it, there is currently no way to suddenly get and finance subscriptions that I do not want in the first place. But I'd be so happy to hear all of it, in my own place and in my own time.

Any good hint will be most welcome, and no, it's not s meagre *cough* effort, no way. I'd be willing to remunerate in any small way.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

Subscription? It's a one-time buy on Amazon. You may not be able to afford that; I just don't understand your terminology.

Sorry. I never went into these things. I really thought you'd have to become a member and then pay a monthly rate or something... I'll get this music then by just buying it. Though I'd been happier with a boxed set in my own shop.

Both Studio and Live albums are on Spotify
Have listened to the studio one and thought it was nothing to get excited about.

Started listening to the live one now. There is almost 6 hours of it so will spread it over a few days.
Starting off with the rehearsals. Liking it so far.

I didn't even realize there were Sunshine Tomorrow 2 downloads as well. There's even a live one with over 100 tracks for fifty bucks which I managed to resist. Still, I spent about that much yesterday on I Can Hear Music, Wake the World, and Sunshine Tomorrow 2. An early Christmas present to myself, I guess...

The Denny lead vocals stuff are superb...makes you wonder what would've happened had he assumed a leadership role within the group at that point
