Even if it was a shared terminal, any files downloaded would have his id against them. Unless he hands out his login details to anyone. For which I would expect him to be sacked as it is a more serious offence. (Depending on the nature of the porn.)

I'm amazed the network is not more tightly regulated.

We can't access this shit using the Scottish government network for example.

He is 61. Unless he is unusual, I doubt he would know how to do that. In fact i find the whole guilty until proved innocent nature of all these recent accusations to be unsettling at the very least. However, political point scoring is now clearly far more important than the truth.

Really?

Do you think it might be related to the culture of drinking in the house. They all get pissed up on subsidised booze and go look a the p**n. That wouldn't surprise me. Although I doubt it is just the tory's who do it... ( whatever Pete says )

And I've not suggested it is just Tories. It's probably Tories in the majority, but that's because they're Tories.

Why would being a Tory make one more likely to watch porn?

What is astonishing is that Green seems to be denying that the rozzers found anything on his work computers and saying the whole thing is a smear campaign orchestrated - with the Met’s colussion presumably - by his political opponents!

Is anyone that arsed about him?

Put it this way. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the police got a better budget, and all this suddenly went away...

He was tactical in his reply. He said they hadn't (at that point) informed him they had found anything untoward on his PC.
He never denied it was there.

And why does it matter. Pete has found him guilty , so case closed.

Not at all.

And I haven't done a wanky-Jimbo and claimed the most obvious way for the police to get a budget increase in 2017 was to plant the seeds of 'porn on the pc of an MP' back in 2008.

But it is , obviously how your mind works.

There is a case for the police to be using this as leverage to improve their chances of getting a better deal in the budget. They don't have to say anything in order to raise suspicion. And that is what they are doing. It isn't as if they have a reputation for being honest or fair, is it?

Fine. So let's see that connection before we condemn him to the gallows.

All this virtue signalling is making me ill.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-42151148

Mr Lewis, who retired from the Metropolitan Police in 2014, said although "you can't put fingers on a keyboard", a number of factors meant that he was sure it was Mr Green, the MP for Ashford, Kent, who was accessing the pornographic material.

His analysis of the way the computer had been used left the former detective constable in "no doubt whatsoever" that it was Mr Green, who was then an opposition immigration spokesman but is now the first secretary of state.

"The computer was in Mr Green's office, on his desk, logged in, his account, his name," said Mr Lewis, who at the time was working as a computer forensics examiner for SO15, the counter-terrorism command.

"In between browsing pornography, he was sending emails from his account, his personal account, reading documents... it was ridiculous to suggest anybody else could have done it."
.

So - still virtue signalling is it Yomp?
