Love it to bits.
It's made up of very little, really, isn't it? But they've got that tension/release thing down better than almost anybody.
Whaddya think of this?

It's pretty great I think. They're still one of the best bands from that period for me.
I can see how Devoto's rather stilted and affected vocals might rub some up the wrong way, but just listen to the way Adamson, McGeogh and Formula combine. It's the drama they give it that makes it.

Oh yes. The guitar solo, when it comes in, just raises the whole thing 10 feet off the ground.

No messing about, it’s ace. Is it their best? Got to be close to it anyway, full of stalking drama and action.

You read my thoughts. I was impressed with the simplicity of the d,b and g when snotty guy came and messed up the party.

It's great.
But this is their highlight.

Re: Whaddya think of this?
Like that better than most of their stuff, but I still find them dull.
Adamson's great, and he certainly LOOKS great there, but he's all but inaudible. And McGeogh actually bothers me more than Devoto here - plays like he's trying to drown everyone else out.
I voted 'maybe.' There's things I like about it, but it really doesn't add up to enough to justify how little it's built on.
