Ladies and gentlemen, most people record songs about love, heartbreak, loneliness, being broke...Nobody's actually went out and recorded a song about real pain.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I think it might be this one, "Grandma Told Grandpa" - Lightnin' Hopkins
I mean really. "Grandma told Grandpa lovin' between us is sure through". Fuck. If they can't make it work, what chance have the rest of us got?

Funnily enough I was about to set up a thread on pretty much the same subject - along the lines of 'the darkest blues that the blues ever got to' - but I changed my mind because I had one particular song in mind and I'm still not sure that it's the blues. I think it is, but it sort of transcends the blues as well. Either way, this is as dark and lonesome that I've come across anyway:

Another one from Fleetwood Mac -- PG really had sorrow down. A Fool No More from the BBC Sessions is a man with issues.
Death Letter Blues by Son House, top notch grief
"You know, looked like 10,000 people
Were standing around the burying ground
I didn't know I loved her, until I let her down"
