Seconded! Lovely pic.

Thirded. Although I have to admit being a bit perplexed that the girl on the left's legs and arms in no way match her facial complexion. Has she had a head transplant?

It's the result of one of the filters you get on the photo apps these days. My eldest got me to take it on her phone; hides spots on the face apparently, which results in that slightly bleached look, rather than their lovely natural olive skin.

I always like the photos of the kids. One of the reasons I stick to this place.

Nice.

My son goofing off last night. And he doesn't even drink or do drugs yet.

In a couple of weeks my big brother is getting married. I'm so looking forward to it - it's going to be a ding dong do with lots of dancing.
Some elements of my life are due to collide - my Mum's kids from her first marriage (both of them are much older than us) are going - my half brother and half sister. Baron has never met them - so that's exciting. My DAD has never met them - (he never even went to my Mum's funeral which was the ast time I saw them, twenty years ago) and as technically he was partly responsible for the break up of their family, those dynamics will be fascinating.

It's like an out-take from Twin Peaks or something; all it needs is some Angelo Badalamenti. :)

There's a brand new policy chez Rayge+Thangy+Hipster Dawg:

On no account ever, never, not-on-your-nelly ever ever does Hipster Dawg eat anything other than usual dog food on days before long trips on motorways (windows closed) but very particularly NEVER again gets poppadoms on those days. Ever.

We just got back from five nights away, the first and last staying with old pal phil in Cardiff, middle three in the lighthouse-keeper's cottages at Nash Point on the South Wales coast, looking across the Bristol Channel to north Devon. It was hired by the wife of an old school pal to celebrate his 70th, as well as my 69th and his youngest son's 29th, managed to gather together four of his five children and three out of five grandchildren (ranging from 3 months to 23) as well as a motley collection of pals, Clive's twin sister (also celebrating her 70th, natch) and her husband, both of whom I knew well in the 60s, but have not seen for 20 years, and a couple of psycho bitches, Milly and Ginny, who had to be kept apart because they fought one another on sight, while Scrap snoozed, above it all.
There was some big fun: huge vegetarian feasts (although no other veggies there but me and Thang-y), cakes, blowy walks along the clifftops (we felt the full force of Storm Brian, 75mph south-westerly gusts straight off the Atlantic, which on one occasion whisked two £20 notes out of my top pocket and led to some merry stoned chases across the cottage gardens - both notes retrieved after about 5 minutes hilarity), lots of hash and skunk, and wine and beer for those not disadvantaged like myself in that regard, dominoes, reminiscences, loads of photos, a tour of the lighthouse and a full-blown spillikins tourney. Mild downside was no wi-fi, but didn't miss it save in resolving the odd doctrinal dispute, and checking the rules of games.
Fine times (with a few down patches), but glad to be home to the humdrum.

It's our third wedding anniversary.

I started the day's celebrations by going for an MRI scan. I now know where the Aphex Twin finds his musical inspiration.

Congrats Nick.

As of today we've been in our current house 4 years. We need a bigger one unfortunately but at the moment that's unlikely.

I'm now in my final year of my degree and whilst I've left the best module, Mythology, until last, it is tinged with a little bit of sadness that this will be the last one unless I manage to source the funds for a Masters. To make up for it, I'm doing A-level Latin at the same time.

Went for a chat with a local school the other week and they have spaces for teacher training so maybe by the summer of 2019 I will be a Latin/Classics teacher.
