Video A doesn't work for me, but googling brings this thing up:
Is this the same?
Is this the same?
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

If A isn't the same, then I apologise, and I'll edit my comments later. But that's horrible, it sounds like a Jive Bunny remix of the original.
Which leaves me wondering about a cover of Naima, and how it hopes to improve on Coltrane? I mean, I'm not that big on Giant Steps myself, but it had Coltrane playing it. I'm unsure. The intimacy of the original is lost. It's not bad, but there's just that bit half-way through when there's too much brass all at once. Still, it's certainly better than A.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I didn't listen well enough to say definitively, but close enough. And what I heard matches your description.
B didn't have to be that good to beat A, which is a bad Tom Jones imitation with a mix based on the presets of their new Fisher-Price drum machine.

Re: CC Round 6 Match 1
I only listened to about ninety seconds of B before my phone rang and I got into a heated discussion with a bloke from the Student Loan repayment office*, but that was enough for me to know it widdled all over A, though I'm not sure why I wouldn't just listen to 'Trane.
A... did the poster actually record this themselves or something?
*gist: I'm not going to pay off any "arrears" when it's their own fucking fault for not actually informing me about payments until after they are due! And I did apologise to the bloke for my angry tone as I knew it wasn't his personal fault but some incompetent middle manager somewhere.

It is, thanks for that.
I have noticed that clips with the 'iPod'- cover look (picture of the album sleeve to the left and title/artist name/album title listed on the right) don't tend to play in some areas. I check them here and they play fine.

I'm at the point now where I'm no longer surprised by how poor some of the entries are, so a jive bunny style rendition of Tom Jones is par for the course.
B was rather lovely.

Not keen on A's arrangement. B is nice and will do.

Having read through the comments, and knowing I could not affect the outcome even if i wanted to, decided to save my ears the trouble and duck out of this one
