A few lists driftin' in already (see what I did there?) so thanks to those of you who have put absolutely no thought into it and just cobbled together a list of right old bobbins spent the last fifteen years anally maintaining and updating a personal 'top 100' list been so keen and efficient!

Five lists in so far. Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica is the clear leader as I write.

Bugger. I've just done my short-list of genuine contenders, and it's 87 albums. Not sure how I trim this down.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Bugger, now I'm down to two albums, and one of those is a free CD from Uncut.

I had a hard time narrowing down my choices as well. I skewed my list mainly to albums that have some kind of critical acclaim and/or following, rather than hopelessly obscure/unpopular albums that I would have otherwise included. Mainly.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?
