Father Ted, Monty python and Blackadder clips made me laugh out loud.
I voted for Flashheart, because I started laughing before i even started the clip.

It's Monty Python, isn't it?

The full clip ("Is this the 2 or 4 minute clip?") gives the necessary lead in...

I love the Python clip, it's one of the funniest things they ever did. Palin's drawn-out taunt is beautiful. They were the comedy Beatles, they did no wrong, blah blah blah

I voted for the Conchords thing 'cos I find it just that wee bit funnier. Murray's rant towards the end is fucking priceless. Rhys Derby was a genius in that show.

Father Ted - Yeah it still makes me chuckle, even if I've seen it a little too often. It's the look of complete incomprehension and mild panic on Dougal's face which makes it.
The Office - Very funny at the time, but this clip has been repeated ad nauseum and I'm now bored of it.
Blackadder - This doesn't do much for me. I find it almost tiring to watch, too forced. I preferred the later ones set in WW1, which weren't as hammy and and allowed the humour to come through.
Monty Python - Big Python fan as is every right thinking person. But this particular sketch wasn't one that made much impression on me.
Flight of the Concords - I've never watched this so don't have any context for the characters. The bit with the waiter made me chuckle (mildly) but it fell rather flat after that.

Ted then.

How so?

As for me, I'm going with Python, as it's the one that the least context is needed for. David Brent and Murray are hilarious characters, but knowledge of their arrogance is needed to truly get the absurdity of those particular bits.

I love Limmy. The heavy accent makes his sketches a bit surreal. Never saw the Polis one before.. :D

Well it just shows how subjective comedy is. I think it's brilliant, the bit with the chavs at the end is inspired.
I always find it weird there's not more agreement on what we find funny in a way.

I love the Brent one. I've worked in an office like that with an egocentric maniac a bit like Brent and it just hits all the buttons down to the dance for me. It's observational comedy at its best.

I love L of B but I think the "Romans go home" graffiti sketch is superior to Biggus Dickus.

I like Limmy but I can understand why some wouldn't. He can be quite out there and a bit hit and miss.

The Father Ted sketch for me, the combination of Ted's paternal frustration and Dougal's extraordinarily blank/panicked face never gets dull.

The Monty Python sketch is annoying, because I love Life of Brian, but I always found the love for that bit baffling, it's just really not funny. I'm with Toby, "Romanes eunt domus" is far superior, it's one of the all-time great comedy sketches. The number of times I tell people to conjugate the verb to go, and they stare at me blankly...

Also, not really a sketch, but for a throwaway line, this bit always really appealed for some reason.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

So do I. It's maybe the cleverest comedy sketch ever. Brilliantly funny (and it's my present signature too).
