Arctic Monkeys - NME-core
Ben Folds - NME-bore
Ten Years After - N/A
Depeche Mode - Some ok songs, took what Frank Tovey did and ran with it, I guess.
Grace Jones - Not my cup, but kind of has my approval anyway.
Weezer - N/A
Circle Jerks - N/A
Earth, Wind & Fire - N/A
Rage Against the Machine - I didn't mind them, they seemed a bit of a breath of fresh air in the early 90s.
Olivia Newton-John - Pointless
Rush - Horrible
Robert Johnson - Not really heard that much
Aphex Twin - 50% crap chancer, 50% genius
Peter, Paul & Mary - Horrible
Stevie Ray Vaughn - N/A
The Selecter - Not the best of the two-tone, but not bad for all that.
Joan Jett - Lumpen
Michael Oldfield - Carried away by a moonlight shadow is ace. Tubular Bells works in the context of The Exorcist.
The Animals - Eric Burdon had a proper rock voice, and some of their singles were superb.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
