Would Trump press the button?
What do you think the chances are?
The documentaries I've seen on the Cuban Missile Crisis look scary but this looks scarier.

Which might just be the way for him to ensure his ego's place in the history books.
(btw, this thread should be titled "I Fired?")

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Not if his missile was aimed at the place where their missile was housed- and if it was designed to destroy in on the ground.

I say "yes". I say "fuck yes" even "holy fuck yes"
hopefully other arms are handy to restrain his because I think he pushes the linoleum for practice.
Has 'Dr. Strangelove' taught us nothing? Nixon was prepared to wait out the radiated goo so you can bet your ass TRUMP is. I'll bet there's a gold toilet seat in the bunker already!!!

I think he's more than capable. His hand isn't literally on the button though, so one can only hope that wiser heads would stop him.

I genuinely think they'd just laugh at him.
I doubt there is a single person in the US military command structure who has a scintilla of respect for the man or his bone spurs.
There is obviously no existential threat to the USA here, Donny just likes to act tough and inadvertently make himself sound like little Kim.
It is bizarre that at first I couldn't work out who was saying what as they are both silly, little, fat men who have never had to grow up or do anything for themselves making stupid threats.
They are peas in a pod and considering one is POTUS that is a sad reflection on US democracy.
Moorcock, Moorcock, Michael Moorcock, you fervently moan.

Re: Would Trump press the button?
No. Hopefully. Trump's rhetoric is pro-Russia and generally anti-interventionist world-wide. He even recently defunded the "moderate rebel" forces in Syria which is a positive step I'd say. The more fearsome hawks are the Democrats who blame Russia for HRC's loss and then, recently, along with most of the Republicans, voted for more sanctions against Russia as punishment for "meddling with our democracy." Trump had no choice but to sign that bill due to the majority of supporters in the house, otherwise he was against sanctions. BTW, the only lawmakers who didn't sign were Bernie Sanders and Rand Paul. (Sanders-Paul 2020!) So the US congress is united for war. If it came down to war with Russia they'd be for it but in this case no majority could force Trump to push the button. God help us.
Question authority.
