I wouldn't put garlic in guacamole either.

I admit my recipe is from a British cookbook

You have my sympathy too, Jim.

A couple of days ago I was looking through some old photographs and came across a couple of early-'70s pictures of our dog Toots, who died in 1984, and I got that twinge. It took me many years to get used to coming home, putting my key in the door, and NOT expect to hear her scratching on the other side, eager to greet me (or just get out to pee, as the case sometimes was).

My son has a small dog, Nikko, and we were talking this weekend about how much of a buddy he was to both of us, especially my son.

He loves to share his fleas, and we were heading to the pet store to get some shampoo and medicine.

Next week, I rented a cabin through AirBnB and I'm taking my son and two of his buddies to Donner Lake. We're a block from the Western most beach and close to a town named Truckee, just north of Lake Tahoe. We're going whitewater rafting next Tuesday.

Our tour will be guided but I've done lots of whitewater rafting, yet not for awhile. Should be fun.

I've just finished my last shift at the hospital that I've worked at for the last 2 years. It's probably less significant than it feels... but I've spent more time there than my home for 2 years. This is where I started my career for proper and I've had just so much kindness and good cheer and wonderful memories . Who knew I could get so attached to a public building.

That's an easy thing to happen, I'm very attached to my public house.

Put it on your calendar, people. Markus was funny on August 2, 2017.

My son had to take a photo of a car stopped in front of us today because of their bumper stickers.
