I used to think it was The Knife Feels Like Justice by Brian Setzer, but that was a long time ago, and the example you gave is surely one of thousands that has since given it a run for its money as the cancer of hipster doofism has metastasized. To think there may a "backstory" to "explain" it and make it "relevant"... just no.

The title is not actually on the front cover of this one, but it is an album by Marnie Stern and it is called This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That, which is pretty much the reason people now use the word "indie" as an insult.

Well, yes. But puns generally only work if they parody a well-know phrase or twist the meaning of that phrase. Otherwise you just have some words that sound a bit like other words. This is just a badly scanning example of that.
