It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Wonderful read!

That was a great time to be into Ween (such a cultish thing that you'd randomly find other you knew people were also fans of...NEVER something I tried to push on anyone else) - and that particular record has an almost impenetrable depth that really intensified their appeal for me.

I can't think of another band who have that 'you either get this or you don't' quality. Every record, well, I've never clicked with The Pod (cover aside), has something special.

My favourite of theirs by a long stretch. The Blarney Stone remains one of the best drinking songs of all time.

It's a good album, definitely heads and shoulders above anything else I've heard of the band. I'll check the link out later!

I have to hear this. I only know 'Push Th' Little Daisies' and 'Voodoo Lady' and I love 'em.

Try White Pepper first, it's their straightest but it'll get you on board.

You'll be ready for Pure Guava soon...

An ex gf liked them.

I honestly thought it was some of the worst shit I've ever heard.

Yeah, I don't think there can be an "Oh, they're ok" option.

Yeah I need to familiarise myself with it too, that was a cracking read.

Still love that "Push Th Little Daisies" was a top 20 single here, the amount of hate people like my dad had for that wonderful song

I was a huge fan around the time of 'GodWeenSatan.' I thought that it was kind of embarrassing that "Push th' Little Daisies" was their breakout hit. It was just one facet of their sound. 'Quebec' was the album that got me interested in them again, and then I went back and listened to 'White Pepper' and 'The Mollusc' belatedly.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

"Baby Bitch" is pretty good. I think you would like it. I am by no means a fan , but they have a song or two I really like -- followed by ten more that are completely different.

Ditto on what Bent Fabric and Gash wrote. They were very special for a time there.
