Part one is still not quite finished with April, while part Two was planned to take a brief detour somewhere different, but

Seem to have come to the end of the garden pics for now. One thing I did a lot in the year or so after Chip died was hitch up the Dawg and wander aimlessly about in Devon, pointing my Lumix at anything that caught my eye. So that..

A smaller batch today, all in one lump.
Warning – record collector content
Apatow and West
Summer Quorum I
Summer Quorum II
The rest were taken at Exeter Record Fair, May 10-ish
Quiet before the Storm, well Shower
Dealers check out each others' wares before the public is allowed in
Keeners
Noisy Neighbours
Of all the guys to set up next to me...
The General Public

NB, the caption is humorous. In no way I am suggesting that wimmin should be referred to as they were baby birds.

Re: An image (or two, or three, maybe a dozen. Or more) a day
Another shortie like yesterday. What can I tell you? I'm losing my grip.
But anyway, it's getting on for the middle of May, and as usual I'm bumbling around Devon with a Lumix, blatting away, with a fixed grin on
my eek, force 7 on the Rictus Scale...
Long Barn at Thornhedges Cross
Lying Cows and Flying Crow
of course the bird in the bottom left isn't actually a corvid (a pigeon, maybe?) but in caption world, wordplay often trumps truth
Déja Vu
Most of the places I've lived, there's been a particular view or sight that I photographed many times over the years: here, there's been loads of them,
but few more often photographed than the ladder of shadows along this lane. I must have put up dozens already, but they are all subtly different
in detail. And I still haven't got a single definitive one yet
Up and Over
This one, though, taken from the end of the visible road in the pic above, is pretty much definitive of this view in summer. Everything about it,
formally, pleases me, from the fall of the shadows to the curves and their placement - very reminiscent of the French curves my dad used in his
technical drawing - and taking in the colours, especially the greens. It all balances
Temporary Island
Arrived now at Creedy Beach. The resemblance of this plant adrift in the river to a cartoon desert island with a single palm tree spoke to me
Reach
The view from the Beach
Lapping it Up
Scrap gets stuck in to the cool running stuff, so much better than bowl water
Sploosh
Not my first attempt...
I Said, 'NOT for Boys!'
Scrap could not be persuaded that I was chucking stones in the river for any other reason than that he he could retrieve them. Ahem
In the end, I had to hurl a stick in the other direction to set up the shot
The Mill Fields
l-r Mill Cottages, Mill Farm, The Old Mill
The State of the Nation
More tomorrow
