It's a very good version!

I'll concur

French neo prog band Eye 2 Eye's new release pushes a lot of my buttons. Very good.

Tony McPhee's harmonium playing on Who Will Save the World got me thinking:

Huh? I didn't know Portugal made music.... Well, a first for me I think anyway. Mild prog metal (I suppose) with some symphonic in the mix. Occasionally heavy but not overly so.

'Tis good.

Lion Shepherd - Heat

Polish band with Eastern influences. Liked the debut album a lot and this new one is excellent. Hope they have a long future ahead of them.

Spotify sent me a Summer Rewind play list featuring tracks I've played during past summers (I think!).

Don't know whether the link works for anyone else, but what a bloody playlist!!

This arrived today, (new vinyl) had it when it first came out in the late 60s but sold it on to make room for others. Regretted it ever since, especially as the original is worth quite a bit.

Interesting addition to the cover (shouldn't that say featuring Jon Hiseman?)

A very robust album nonetheless

New release - Anathema - The Optimist

Some big sounds from one of my favourite bands. Not a great fan of the electronica sounds that have been built on since the last album Distant Satellites but a couple of plays in and there are some mighty fine elements. Looking forward to seeing how it develops in the next week or so anyway.

Elder - Reflections of a Floating World

Massive riffing and smoothly flowing largely instrumental prog metal (ish) from US band.

Not entirely my thing but I guess they are pretty good at it.
