Am currently in Dubai Airport and on my way back to Dublin to see them tonight after a hectic four solid days of attending to legal issues in Hong Kong.

Assuming can stay awake - have had about 4 hours sleep in the last 30 and still have an 8-hour flight and an 8-hour wait before the show to go - am really looking forwards to seeing them. Last time I saw them was at Manchester Free Trade Hall in June 81

Just. Fucking. Stunning.

If you've got your seat booked for an upcoming show, you're in for a real treat.

If you're a fan or always wondered why all the fuss and you've not got tickets, I'd move heaven and earth to try and get one.

Seeing them at the RAH in a few weeks time.
What was the setlist like? The standard Minimum-Maximum set?

Did an odd sort of album by album thing, starting off with Computer World and moving through to Man Machine, Autobahn and Tour De France. If the set had one flaw is that it went on a bit too long and covered their weaker stuff. If they'd stopped after the first encore (We are the Robots), it would have been perfect.

For a more detailed set list, check out the Concert FM website

I ordered the set anyway. Since I have the German version of Der Katalog, an English version still will fit in my collection.

I remember when I joined Mojo in 2001 and proffered the view that Kraftwerk were the best band I'd ever seen live. I wasn't laughed at, but there was the view that I was a silly boy, given a pat on the head and that I should go and see a proper band.

It is interesting to see that 16 years later there is a growing consensus on here about just how good their live show is.

I think you'll find that Funky Nomad and I have always had this view, as well as your good self.

Yeah I know you guys have always liked them, but we were in a significant minority for a while.

Well having been a fan since first hearing Man Machine in the late 70s and seeing them at Manchester's Free Trade Hall, I can hardly be accused of being amongst the revisionist minority myself.

It sounds gorgeous as well.

Listen to Toby at this point.

Got the CD versions and saw them in Glasgow last night.

What a great experience and what astounds me is that despite the new mixes, year after year, the base elements sound as fresh today as I guess that did all those years ago. The synthesis of sound is evolving but the tunes still sound immense and the experience is wonderful.

Robots was just sublime.

Saw them in Brighton on Wednesday for the 15th time.

They were fabulous as ever. I'm beginning to really enjoy the songs from Tour de France a lot now.

Just back from tonight's show in Edinburgh.
Bloody magic.
During "Radio Activity" I got the sound pulsing through the body effect that Funky Nomad described years ago.
My life is now complete.

I'm a big fan who thought, the one time I saw them, that they were a great live act

And I think the 3D is so shit that I am completely uninterested in seeing them on this tour

I'm glad someone else thinks 3D is shit - I thought it was just me. Still, having never seen them I've been very frustrated that I was not there tonight.
