Clare's voice is a bit extreme (although it can be more so – see Happy Birthday), but I actually like this sort of unselfconscious twee-ery, and have been known to buy records on the Sarah label (although never an actual AI track). I'd rather listen to this sort of thing than, say, Talk Talk or XTC.

I really love the "Bite" album but I struggle with their other stuff.. this is okay but really no more than inoffensive elevator music.

It's still a great single - I prefer it to Happy Birthday, nowadays
...what do you make of this, JC?
Can you remember who did backing vocals on the LP?

The video looks like a piss-take of every 80s video ever. It's a great pop tune with a bass line Peter Hook in his prime would've been proud of. Lovely stuff.
That "Song Sung Blue" is as bad as the David Essex number in the previous poll.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

John Peel whistled on it.
I love the 12" version of I Could Be Happy.

Fabulous. We watched Gregory's Girl at the weekend and were just talking about this song funnily enough.

Fantastic, loved it ever since I heard it on an ad for the sadly missed Australia's Wonderland.

Nothing against it, not much for it.
I don't necessary like all hits, but it takes a lot for me to call something truly shit, so I guess if those are my only choices...

Their best single. Boisterous, bouncy and charming.
The indie snobs won't admit it, but Altered Images took the Orange Juice template and improved it.
A hit!
