That's absolutely dreadful John. It sounds like if professional darts was a song.

I'm Gonna Make You A Star is the glam Complete Control/The Great Rock and Roll Swindle.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Hit enough. Catchy and winning, but also instantly forgettable. And "Rock On" is much more inspired. If there was a Footy choice, I'd take it, but it's not shit.

Terrible vocal performance. SO many bum notes.

The song and esp. the arrangement are lame as well.

It's a genuine atrocity against mankind.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

This young man stood up in a working men's club in 1974 and sang this song which had every woman there swooning. They couldn't believe the confidence of the fella - who only hours ago was down the pit sweating and breathing coal dust. And he wrote the ditty himself!

And the bar band were hot that night, using the new 'trumpet' setting on the Bontempi. Pro drummer, too, for the first time. You can tell.

A win on this Saturday's New Faces for sure. And - who knows? - maybe a career in showbusiness!

It's a corny old thing. Essex tries to inject some personality into it, but it's a bit too end of the pier to save.
I voted shit.

I lasted about a minute and a half. I haven't heard anything that awful in awhile!
