A very underappreciated album for my money. It's Kate Bush at her near-best.

I agree. Even on first listen, I could easily place this right along side Aerial. "Misty" and "Lake Tahoe" should rank among her finest tracks ever.

Almost bought the re-release vinyl of that album the other day, but saved my money to preorder The Great Annihilator on LP.

I've got the CD reissue, but only because I've never tracked down the original release. I gather the mix to The Great Annihilator is going to be quite different, I've heard Mind/Body/Light/Sound on youtube, which is probably my favourite track off the album, and that's certainly changed. I doubt I'll bother with it though, unless I see it particularly cheap. I love the original, I've no need for an alternate mix.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Agreed with that being the best track off the album. I had no idea they had changed the mix. That's almost an entire let down. The original mix is absolutely perfect and among the greatest experiences offered from experimental rock and post-punk.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Bits of it had a nice Alice Coltrane/Pharoah Sanders vibe. Unfortunately, bits of it also had a Santana vibe.

That was my problem with it.

I like moving the title track to be last so you open with HIS BEST SONG, 'Win'
that way you get 'fame' b/w 'young americans' to close out the record

Current 93 - Haunted Waves Moving Graves

Vinyl pic disc limited to 666 copies, one of their more abstract/ambient kinda things. Works better on vinyl than the CD, I think.
