It's a toughie between McAloon and Frame, I never really got into Finn.
For regional loyalties I'm going for McAloon.

I hope they both bring out something soon as great as their last two albums.

I think Finn is the most traditional songwriter of the three and probably the most consistent with the potential to be the most ordinary.

I think Frame is good, can be daring, but can have problems with finding a catchy melody and strong chorus. Either that or he's too subtle for me.

I think McAloon can be both catchy and daring and has proved it through the years.

McAloon is a magical songwriter that has a far broader sweep than the other two. A true original and woefully underrated.

Finn is wishy washy rubbish and McAloon is the most over rated song writer in BCB history; did he ever trouble the chart compilers apart from with that god awful - hot dog jumping frog Albuquerque - monstrosity?

Frame wrote more good songs by the age of 19 than those two would manage in 10 lifetimes. High Land Hard Rain is better than the other two's entire back catalogue put together.

Finn has never written a good song full stop, his bland mitherings make me want to kick my speakers in; vapid, soulless, anaemic shite. The sort of colonic guff that Noel Edmonds and Simon Bates probably rate as important and left field.

Lloyd Cole would be a better song writer to put up against Frame, at least he wrote a couple of decent tunes.

On the basis that my favourite album by any of them is Together Alone which I think is great. Finn has written some great songs.

High Land has some good songs but the production is dated.

I liked Steve McQueen years ago but I can't see myself revisiting it anytime soon.
