The Twomanys are in town for a baseball game tomorrow which I probably can't attend due to work so we went to dinner tonight so we could hang together for a while. We lucked out and got a table at a small neighborhood place I frequent. It is easy to carry on a conversation there, a quality I thought a couple who had driven six hours would appreciate. I appreciate it and I'm five minutes away. ;) Anyway, I wouldn't call it a jollyup so no cds or pics but we did have a good time.

I don't play drum solos. Once I sat in at a winery where some jazz musicians I knew were playing and I ended up sitting in playing drums and suddenly someone calls for trading fours so I have to come with four bars of something interesting with the others for as long as it is decided and since they didn't mention this at all I had no idea how long I was going to have to keep this up, i was terrified but got through it. How long does the solo have to be?

We should've made CDs and taken pictures!

Thanks so much though, Les - that really hit the spot. Great place too.

The local team is a Giants farm team, so of course I will be rooting for them to lose. :D

I'll probably just do 8 bars. I was initially thinking I'd just do 4, but what the hell - let's live a little!

I went to see Procul Harem tonight. Filling BJ Wilson's shoes is a big ask but the drummer was great. His drum solo though was not only unnecessary but actually spoiled the whole flow of the gig.

The wife gets induced on Wednesday, excited and scared, so fucking scared. I'm sure everything will go okay but god I hope I'm not going to fuck this up!

For nearly 30 years, Saturday morning was reserved for pick-up basketball until I got too broken down to play. Sunday was reserved for the show, The Sports Reporters, on ESPN. It was four eminent sports reporters talking about the previous week in sports. Now, it's being taken off the air by ESPN. Sometimes I wish I could turn back the clock a little. I'm going to go down to the schoolyard and shoot around for awhile.

Good luck. Make sure you're there every step of the way for her. Being induced can be like going from 0-60.

Saw a young woman on the train platform with the word FUGLY emblazoned on her sweatshirt. She herself wasn't fucking ugly, just LILUGLY.

YEAH, man! :D
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
