I'm 100% not a fan, but I read that the current doctor is leaving after this season. The up turn in changing the doctor kinda takes away from the show. I know holding down a actor for a long time is hard to do though.

Yeah, but I think he'd be too big for the role.
While I fully admit that I'm not a fan, you feel that the makers are under pressure to get a female or minority actor to play the next doctor, rather than who's the best regardless of skin color or gender.
