This got a lot of play during the last Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and if it's cool enough for Usain Bolt to dance to on the track awaiting the 4 x 100 relay,it's all good with me.

Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

'Letter From America' was ten times better.

Great song the first thousand times I heard it. Now that I actually have to play it occasionally as a professional obligation, I want to punch the smug fuckers in the mouth.

They have written two or three great songs. This might not be one of them.

Sunshine On Leith is as good a song as has been written.

For most football fans there is more heartbreak and disappointment than glory but that was their moment in the sunshine and they'd waited a long, long time for it.
I'm always moved when football fans sing songs like that. Working class pride, solidarity n all that. I also live in leith now so this was quite close to home for me.
Marvellous.

Yep, one of my favourite parts of watching British football.

Not destined to be a standard, but I'd never turn it off 'twere it playing on the radio.

But, it actually IS a standard. I believe it was a top 10 chart hit in many countries around the world, so it was a huge public favourite, and i think it is a song that is much loved to this day.
Some will say it's shite, but they always do. Maybe some other fucking rubbish should have gotten to #1 instead, some American country elder statesman or Australian pop star, some German or Polish or Midlands cnuts banging pots together and scratching stuff in an artistic way. Just not some Scottish twins who liked to harmonize to more traditional song structures.
It's an immediate, likeable pop song, and if BCB's sour taste police look down on it, well, it's their loss. I don't even like the song that much, but i do think it's a good hit song.

I’m another massive Sunshine on Leith fan. It’s a fucking great melody and the chord change just before “while I’m worth...” really kills me. Also Leith was the place of my birth and there aren’t many songs about it, after all.

I got mine for free, with a batch of cd's one of my older brothers discarded. Barely noticed it at the time it was popular, except to wonder "WTF is this?" when it did seep through to my conscious mind. But I was quickly won over by its goofy charm once giving it a proper listen.
