The biography of UK folk band The Spinners ('two-tone' a good 20 years before The Specials!) has an introduction written by Deryck Guyler!

also...

he played the washboard on three tracks of an album by long-time fan Shakin' Stevens.

I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Dutch ovens are called braadpans in the Netherlands. A bit of a disappointment, I must say. I'm starting to suspect French fries are known by a different name in France, but I'm not prepared to have my worldview destroyed any further this morning.

Some of you might pretend you already know this, but I won't believe you.
'Bring Me Sunshine' - sung by Eric and Ernie - was written by Willie fucking Nelson.

Willie's version was in a tv advert over here about 8 years ago.

Hate to piss on your chips but it ain't true.
From Wikipedia,,,

"Bring Me Sunshine" is a song written in 1966 by the composer Arthur Kent, with lyrics by Sylvia Dee, and first performed by American artists in the late 1960s. In the UK, the song is synonymous with the popular comedy duo Morecambe & Wise, after it was adopted as their signature tune in their second series for the BBC in 1969.

A photographer named Norman Seefs was on 60 Minutes tonight. Interesting guy and his film archive he's working on is going to be amazing.

"Please please me" is an example of polyptoton - the same word used twice in a clause with different meanings.

A kind of corrugated surface against which people used to rub their clothes while washing them. These were used as a kind of home made percussion during the skiffle boom, played with thimbles on fingers.

Senseless, meaningless, futile.

Fruitless, unproductive, stupid.

Silly, useless, absurd.
