Me too. I Thought they were ridiculously gratuitous but second attempt... they hit. And I really do feel they've managed to achieve the genuine low-fi, do-it-yerself ethos which most of the punk movement failed to do. I think the novelty will wear thin pretty soon though but they're a good laugh. As cryptic and malicious as The Fall but certainly more "street" than The Streets.

Just got around to this earlier:

I respect the sentiments of the song but it is outdone by the Corbijn's video.

Possible new Kendrick Lamar album due on April 7th. Im cautiously optimistic, he couldn't match To Pimp... so soon after. But still, exciting news..

Yeah the guests include Q Tip, Kanye, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, D'Angelo, Andre 3000, Anderson .Paak.

That track isn't a knockout (according to the tracklist I saw it's not included on the record) but there was a stretch of 4(?) tracks on Untitled Unmastered that bested To Pimp.. so I'm optimistic.

It's a tough listen... heart-breaking... but an expression of grief deserves attention. It has a single morbid pace throughout but is beautiful in it's raw and intimate state. His words infrequently rhyme sounding like excerpts from a diary of desperate bereavement. Not something to return to again and again but an important event, I think.

It's the fourth in a series (as the title suggests) and none of them have featured on the full albums.

There's a reference to "April 7th" in the lyrics which suggests he'll drop something on that date. Apparently a previous 'Heart' release had "October 18th" in the lyrics and that was the date Good Kid came out, so...

This popped up on Amazon and one or two other sites today, with a 12th May release date, but there's no info about what it is and nothing in the news about it. No idea what "Blackstar Recordings" is either, he's signed to Top Dawg, so this might just be some crappy cash-in...

Mono No Aware - Various Artists

Mono No Aware (もののあわれ) is the first compilation to be released on PAN, collating unreleased ambient tracks from both new and existing PAN artists.

DGS would love this.

Hmm, the newest one isn't great either. Very flash video but the track has nothing on 2015/16 :|

Definitely an album to divide opinion. Massive critical acclaim so far (96 on metacritic outshining anything released this year) but as I said, I probably won't be returning.

This new album from New Zealand's Aldous Harding is pretty special. Out next month, and doing a couple of UK shows. Reports of her live shows are 'not to be missed' and 'don't dare talk during any of it' :D

The new Pixx album is also sounding great – the Age of Anxiety (great title too).
