You're not very good at this, are you?

I can only suggest you check the FB thread The Prof started about us - and see how well you did in that me old china.

Seems I touched quite a nerve there :)

But since when have you ever let facts get in the way of your bullshit, trolling, accusations and lies?

This was such a nice idea for a thread until it became what it was supposedly designed to be an alternative to.

Well, I think if there was anyone in doubt about your oversensitivity and belligerence, Diamond Dog, you have proved it with this post, which can only refer to the parody thread I just opened because I thought some humour might lance the boil, and stop this unpleasantness spreading any further and making the board even more inhospitable.

I've met Pete Harris, and he seems a decent bloke, friendly and reasonable, so why does his avatar act this way, especially spraying attempted insults about like that? I know from pms that you consider this a 'combative style' but I don't understand why you think combat is a good idea. I've long made it my policy not to get involved in slanging matches, flame wars or ad hominem attacks on the interwebz, partly because I'm a natural-born diplomat who always distrusts his first reactions and seeks an easeful path, but also because I realized how much we reveal of ourselves in our choice of insults – there was a bloke on imdb who used to refer to everyone who crossed him as a cumstain. You could feel the crackly texture of his sheets in every word  . And as for what you wrote above, of course I'm a stoner, but the degree to which that has addled me I'll leave to the judgment of others. As for 'brain dumb', well, again, I'm just going to leave it. 'Arse', though, I'll cop to :)

But while we're here, for the record: I have three aliases I use from time to time for what I consider humorous purposes; their names change, but currently Hipster Dawg (channeling Scrap), Dead Doris and an innocent bystander. In addition, Thang-y (who is no alias of anyone) is my lover, and will, I hope, one day be my wife. Apart from her, I'm in no wise or sense 'teamed' with anyone and have no agendas on this board other than to enjoy myself with the occasional rant about music I used to love, posting lots of photographs for the general delectation and enjoying some humour with a generally congenial bunch of nits and wits – many of whom seem to nurture fathomless feuds with other posters for reasons I've never understood, nor sought to have explained. Sure there are people I don't get on with on here, but I just ignore them – as in proper ignore, never peeking to see what new outrage they have perpetrated – or respond politely to any attacks on me or my avatars, rather than get into daft playground feuds with them. It isn't important that everyone likes me: I'm happy with who I am.

Wishing you, Pete, a merry Christmas, and that Diamond Dog – and indeed the gadfly gash – would just calm down, la

Ray

So to calm the situation down, you basically throw a few 'observations' my way (mostly all derogatory)- and then wish me Merry Xmas?

And I'm the one with multi-personality issues?

Whatever.

Merry Xmas to you and yours too Ray - but let's not try and kid anyone that you don't enjoy the bitchfest just as much as anyone else, and don't actively go around stoking the fire when it suits you to do so. Don't insult the intelligence of everyone on here - you're better than that.

I enjoyed my one meeting with you Ray - you're a good guy. Sadly, a bit like me, your board persona(s) let's you down occasionally. I kind of accept my failing - maybe you should possibly just rest on that.

Anyway - merry Xmas.

I have no idea what you mean about 'multi-personality issues'.
Everything I said about myself above I stand by. I don't like 'bitchfests' at all. For one thing they're not remotely festive. I enjoy wit and humour and will respond to it with an appropriate avatar whenever I see it. I'm not remotely interested in stoking any fires. Indeed, there are no fires to stoke as far as I'm concerned. I dislike getting into slanging maytches because I have exhibited in the past a shocking (to me) aptitude for hurting people with them.
I don't understand the 'insult the intelligence' comment either, but maybe that's my drug addle dumb brain arsery kicking in ;)

Stick with the "Rayge" avatar, Ray. Much easier for all. And more honest.

Natural born windbag more like...

While I don't have a dog in this particular skirmish in the ongoing CG/DD fight, am not going to let your usual delusional, self-aggrandising ravings go uncontested for once.

I remember a time not so long ago that you unfairly and incorrectly accused me of some kind of vendetta against Skope. On another thread shortly afterwards, you first demanded my banning and then denied you had done so just a few posts later. When challenged to produce evidence to substantiate your accusations of trollery, you have never been able to do so and always retreat into uncharacteristic silence.

At the end of the day, Radge, if it's "not (your) policy to get involved in slanging matches", why use your pathetically transparent aliases to start one and then contribute to another thread that have only fuelled the ongoing unpleasantness you - in your typically pompous style - claim to have risen so far above?
